Very fine grass, used in golf tees/ slow growing and gives a soft hazy feel to a meadow. Late flowering, July, so suits a late cut meadow. Because of its slow growth it is ideal as a part of a meadow mix. Its seeds are very small and a little will go a long way. It will grow densely but very slowly, so allowing early wildflowers to flourish. Low growing and probably the finest meadow grass there is. Giving the soft purple haze to a meadow.
